- Biography -

Early Life and Career:
Avesta Jowkar was born in Tehran, Iran in 1986. He attended Khayyam University of Science in Mashhad,
majoring in mathematics and science (Right now he is a student in Normandale Community College, majoring
Civil engineering). Jowkar started his career as a redactor of Khayyam University Theater Club, named Deep
Breath. After a year of working with the students who are interested in theater and cinema, the principle of
university ordered to close the club for some reason.

Career as a Writer/Screenwriter:
A year after closing the club by the university, he came back to Tehran and start working as a co-writer with
Nasrin Moradi in “Koocheye Ma” (“Our Alley”) magazine in Tehran. He learns a lot from Moradi family and their
magazine and in less than a year he gets his own page in the magazine. He called the page: Brainstorming of
a Disable Brain. He starts writing about society issue in comedy. For a long period of time his page was
number one in uptown Tehran. While he was working in magazine he starts writing some script and concept for
future. In November 13, 2005, Avesta received a call from a movie group called Quack Film. Kambiz Moshiri
(Director, Screenwriter,songwriter, Actor) invite Avesta to join the group as a screenwriter for their upcoming
show. Avesta accepted and joins the team.

Avesta as a Video Editor/Director/Cinematographer:
While he was working on the new show, Kambiz Moshiri saw the passion in Avesta to learning new things. So
he decides to learn Video Editing to Avesta. Avesta became a video editor in less than two months and his new
career starts. Kambiz Moshiri starts new music-videos and Avesta learns Cinema trick during working with
Kambiz. In May 10, 2007 Avesta Moving to the United Sate of America and leave his team in Iran. But in less
than 5 month, he start working on one of his script called “Chapter 2”. While Avesta studying in Normandale
Community College, he asked his instructors like Sean Bird (Cinema & Theater) and Patricia McGowan
(Writing) in college about his script. After a week he decides to make the script shorter and make a short film.
He starts shooting the movie with Alxander Jon (Actor), Jason Deck (Actor) and couple of co-actors; he
finished shooting of the movie in 3 days and start editing it right away.
